Keys, wallet, mail, delivery knife, mask—only keep what comes in your hands every day. Chargers, cosmetics, and documents are sent directly to each room. Once the drop zone becomes all-purpose storage, it becomes cluttered again.

Five minutes on the weekend, skimming over the drop zone. Items that have been left untouched for more than a week are returned to their proper place. Mail is sorted immediately or collected in one place by setting a ‘mail processing’ day.

The reason why the morning when you go out becomes lighter

Once the drop zone is fixed, pick up your items from the same spot when you leave. The two minutes spent looking for your keys are gone. Bags are always hung on the same hanger, so breakfast preparations can be done in one line.

If the family lives together, do not separate drop zones for each individual. One common area is better maintained. Once you get into the habit of taking each item to your room, the hallway will be empty.
