Give Friday Work a Clear Ending일상

Finishing work isn't always the same as feeling finished. A few deliberate steps can make it easier to return later without keeping everything rehearsed over the weekend.

Set aside a short window near the end of your actual workday. Review open tasks, record their next actions, and note deadlines or people waiting for a response. Send necessary updates and agree on any changed commitments before signing off.

Leave yourself a useful return point

Check the first appointments of the next workday and gather the materials you'll need. Save files, close the applications you can close, and put the desk into a usable state. You don't need a spotless surface.

If you're on call or have weekend responsibilities, make the availability boundaries clear. A shutdown should reflect the job you have rather than pretend those duties don't exist.

Then mark the end with something ordinary: leave the room, put away the laptop, or go home. Fifteen minutes is a guide, not extra work owed after the day ends. The routine has helped when you know where to pick up again and can leave the rest alone for now.
