Start Monday with Your Coffee and Calendar일상

Monday's first coffee often comes with the first email. You open one message, follow another, and begin the week by responding before you've seen what it holds.

Try opening your calendar first. Coffee is just a convenient cue; tea, water, or the moment you sit down can work just as well. Give yourself about ten minutes before routine messages begin.

Read the week before adding to it

Use a weekly view, including work and personal commitments where you can. Start with fixed appointments: meetings, travel, school events, medical visits, or plans with other people. Look for journeys and preparation time that haven't made it onto the calendar.

Notice which day is crowded and which has room. Write a brief observation, such as “Wednesday needs a quieter evening” or “Friday morning has space for the report.” You don't need to build a second to-do list.

An empty block may already contain lunch, recovery, or work that isn't recorded. Resist filling it simply because it looks available.

End while it's still a quick look

When the timer ends or your drink is ready to set aside, choose the next task and open your inbox. Leave any urgent contact arrangements you need in place.

Revisit the calendar when plans change. This isn't a promise that Monday's view will stay accurate all week. It's a way to begin with a sense of what is already there, before another request arrives.
