Turn On Do Not Disturb Before Bed루틴일상

Your phone may still be useful beside the bed: an alarm, a way for family to reach you, or an accessibility tool. You can keep those functions without letting every app announce itself overnight.

Before settling down, turn on Do Not Disturb or your phone's equivalent focus setting. Choose a schedule if you want the change to happen automatically, then check how your particular device handles alarms, repeated calls, and allowed contacts.

Keep the right people reachable

Allow the calls you genuinely need, especially if you're on call or responsible for someone. Test important exceptions before relying on them. Setting names and behavior vary by device, so don't assume all notifications work the same way.

Put the phone somewhere stable where the screen won't keep catching your eye. If you need to use it, finish the task and put it down again rather than treating a quieter phone as an invitation to keep scrolling.

This won't switch off every thought that follows you to bed. It can remove a few avoidable interruptions and give the night a clearer boundary. The messages will still be there when you choose to return to them.
