A shorter list makes the next step clearer

Weekly planning
Gather open work into one review list, then schedule it realistically instead of letting it follow you through the weekend.
By Friday, unfinished work may be scattered across notes, messages, and a task app. Before closing for the week, bring those loose ends into one list for Monday's review.
Mark completed items as done. For each remaining task, record the next action and any real deadline or person waiting on it. Keep urgent commitments visible and communicate changes before leaving.
The Monday list is a place to review, not a promise to finish everything that day. Don't move every due date to Monday or hide work that needs attention sooner. When you return, distribute tasks around the week you actually have.
Close the list once it's reliable enough to come back to. A useful Friday handoff lets you stop rehearsing unfinished work over the weekend, while giving your future self somewhere clear to begin.
