A shorter list makes the next step clearer

Weekly planning
Try an hour or two with fewer optional screens, while keeping the tools and contact you actually need.
Sunday morning can fill with other people's plans before you've made your own: messages, videos, a feed that keeps refreshing. If you'd like something different, choose a short period without optional scrolling.
Decide on the interval in advance. Two hours may suit you, or you may prefer twenty minutes. Keep essential contact, accessibility, navigation, medical functions, and care responsibilities available.
Make breakfast, read, talk, do a little household task, go outside, or sit with a drink. You don't need a list of wholesome activities to replace every screen minute. Music or an audiobook can stay if that's part of the morning you want.
If you share the time with others, invite them rather than making a household rule alone. Different people may need their devices for different reasons.
When the interval ends, decide whether you want to check in. You haven't earned screen time or failed if you used the phone earlier. The experiment is useful if it helps you notice what you'd choose when the next suggestion isn't already on a display.
