BRUSH
A morning routine that skips alerts first and finishes brushing instead, so the first order of the day stays in the body.

The lock screen opens the moment the alarm stops. One mail line or one chat bubble before brushing pushes the sink back. Your mouth is still yesterday, but your head is already in the day.
This is not a Sleep piece about brushing to close the night. This is morning: picking up the brush before the phone. Keep it apart from morning window light or two glasses of water. Today the mouth comes first.
If the first screen is alerts, the day starts in reaction. If brushing comes first, the hands remember the same order. It is not a full oral-care checklist. It is only a short start line: after waking, this first.
1. After you stop the alarm, leave the phone face down or on the charger. Do not open alert apps yet.
2. Go to the sink, wet the brush, and only brush. A timer or one song is enough. You do not need a new electric brush.
3. When your mouth feels clear, wash your face or drink water. The order can flex, as long as the phone does not beat brushing.
4. Only then open the lock screen. Even urgent alerts wait for “after brushing,” and those mornings add up.
Do not play Reels while brushing. Do not merge this into the morning notification-batch block. Do not mix it with bedtime Do Not Disturb or late-snack scenes. If weekends are always an exception, weekday order falls apart.
In the morning, brush before the phone. It is delaying the day’s first reaction.
