Introducing a seasonal organizing method that reduces morning decision fatigue by going through just one section instead of the entire closet for 20 minutes. If you only base your choice on ‘what did I wear this year?’, the stress of not having anything to wear will be alleviated even though the options are limited, and your morning routine will speed up.

This is a daily wellness routine you can use right away. Try “Seasonal Wardrobe in 20 Minutes: Keep Only What You Wear” to gently reset your body’s rhythm.
Cleaning out my entire closet takes up an entire weekend. When the seasons change, the pace of the morning changes even if you only do ‘one square for 20 minutes’.
There are days when you feel like you have nothing to wear, which happens when you have too many options. Organizing in 20 minutes is closer to ‘selecting’ rather than ‘reducing’.
In 20 minutes x 4 times, half of your closet will be organized. I don't try to finish it all in one go.
When you feel like you have ‘nothing to wear’ in the morning, the problem is often not a lack of clothes but an overabundance of choices.
Open only one compartment and one drawer. Based solely on ‘whether it was worn this year’. When in doubt, keep the box in the box for another season.
Turn on the timer. It stops when the 20 minute beep. If you skip it, it will be postponed to next week.
Don't put it all on the floor. Only scan what you can reach.
The clothes left are mainly those that can be combined with each other. If you keep a ‘coordination set’ in your head, 2 minutes will be saved in the morning.
What you wear often is at eye level, and what you wear occasionally is at the top or bottom. Place your everyday clothes where your eyes rest.
Shoes and bags are placed one by one in the same manner. Accessories only take 20 minutes for one drawer.
Write the date on the storage box. Open it again a year later and donate the items you have ‘never worn’.
If you leave your donation at the entrance so you can leave immediately after the 20-minute clean-up, it will not be returned.
Before buying new clothes, I look at the ‘20 minute organized section’ first. Come in only when there are empty seats.
During the spring and fall transition period, 20 minutes x 2 is enough. The summer and winter extremes once again.
Take a photo of the organized bins so you can reuse the same criteria next season.
This weekend, spend 20 minutes going through just one closet. Monday mornings may feel a little lighter.
