RUN
READ
A commute micro-routine: read one page of a book during the 2-3 minutes between subway stops instead of scrolling.

We open phones on the subway mostly because there is nothing else to do. Slip one page of a book into that gap and 10+ pages accumulate daily. That is a book a month.
Put a thin paperback in an outer pocket. For e-books, place the reader app on the lock screen. The key: under three seconds to open. If it is harder, the phone wins.
Read one page per stop. Stop when the next-station announcement plays even if unfinished. The tiny unit removes pressure. Bigger targets breed excuses.
Standing: paperback is easier. Sitting: e-reader works too. In rush hour, do not force it. If you cannot hold a rail and a book at once, just rest that segment.
More than the reading volume, you gain the feeling that transit time is your time. Scrolling feels stolen; one page feels chosen. A small choice shifts the density of a day.
