Fewer morning decisions
If your mornings feel rushed, set out your clothes, bag and keys, and first appointment the night before.

A rushed morning doesn’t always mean you’re slow to get ready. It may be that several small decisions arrive all at once: what to wear, where the keys are, and what’s on your calendar first.
Spend five minutes tonight gathering three things for tomorrow: the clothes you plan to wear, your bag and keys, and a note of your first commitment. They don’t need to be perfectly organized. Just choose one place where you’ll find them on your way out.
You don’t have to solve every possible change in advance. If the weather or your plans shift, you can adjust in the morning. The goal isn’t to control every minute; it’s to reduce a few decisions you’d otherwise make as soon as you wake up.
If tomorrow looks especially busy, prepare those three things tonight. A calmer morning can come from searching and deciding less, not only from waking up earlier.
