Change into Home Clothes When You Arrive루틴일상

Sometimes you get home, sit on the sofa in your work clothes, and stay there with your bag still beside you. A small change of clothes can give that arrival a clearer ending.

Keep comfortable home clothes somewhere practical, perhaps in the bedroom or bathroom near your usual route through the house. You don't need to store a full outfit at the front door or change where there's no privacy.

Make the handover simple

Put your shoes, coat, and bag in their places. Wash your hands, then change whatever feels restrictive or uncomfortable: a shirt, a waistband, or the whole outfit. Hang up clothes that can be worn again and put laundry where it belongs.

Three minutes is a rough invitation, not a timed sequence. If you're exhausted or someone needs you, a smaller version is fine, and some days you'll skip it.

Then decide what you want from the next part of the evening. The change won't solve a difficult day, but it can help you notice that you've arrived somewhere different and don't have to keep moving at the pace of the journey home.
