Everyday routines
Open the curtains or spend a comfortable moment near a window as you begin the day.

Before opening an app, look at the morning outside. It may be bright, overcast, or raining; the point is that it belongs to the day you're actually starting.
Open the curtains or blinds where it's safe and practical. If you like, spend a few minutes near a window while having water or deciding what to do next. You don't need to face the sun, stare into bright light, or stand in an uncomfortable spot.
A room without much daylight doesn't mean you've failed the routine. Use lighting that lets you move and get ready comfortably. If you go outdoors, follow appropriate sun protection and the needs of the weather and your health.
Keep glare, privacy, children, pets, and window safety in mind. You don't have to open the window to notice daylight.
Five minutes is a loose suggestion, not a prescribed dose of light or a sleep treatment. This can simply be a way to make the morning's first view something other than a notification. Then carry on with breakfast, getting dressed, or whatever your day asks for.
Choose a scene and add your story. Start a diary of your own with Your Day.
