Keep One Thing on Your Desk Just Because You Like It일상

A desk can be practical and still hold something that means nothing to the job. A postcard, a small stone, a photograph, or a favorite ornament may be there simply because you like seeing it.

Choose something you already own before looking for an accessory to buy. Give it a stable place where it doesn't block the screen, crowd your hands, or sit beside a drink waiting to spill.

Notice it in the ordinary day

You might see it when you sit down, glance away from a document, or finish a call. It doesn't need to become a focus device or a reminder of a goal. A pleasant association is enough.

If the object starts to feel like clutter, move it. You can also use a personal image on a screen you already see, as long as it doesn't make reading or navigating harder.

Clearing a desk doesn't have to mean removing every trace of the person who works there. Keep the tools you need, leave enough room to use them, and allow a small detail that makes the space feel like yours.
