Give the Remotes One Home일상

The television remote is under a cushion. The air-conditioning remote is on a bookshelf. Neither is where you last remember leaving it. Small things can make a familiar room surprisingly inconvenient.

Choose one easy-to-reach place for the remotes used in that room. A drawer, a shallow tray, or a clear shelf can work. It should be convenient for everyone who uses it, not just tidy from across the room.

Agree on the return spot

Clear out unrelated objects and show the place to the people you live with. A simple label can help guests and anyone learning a new arrangement. Return the remotes when you're done rather than making a rule that interrupts every channel change.

Keep loose batteries safely stored away from children and pets. The remote's home doesn't need to become storage for manuals, spare cables, and everything else connected to the television.

If the remotes keep landing beside a particular seat, move their home closer. A useful arrangement follows what people actually do. Once it's easy to put them back, there's less reason for the search to start again tomorrow.
