Well-being
Take a short pause to reach upward and ease into a comfortable side stretch, without forcing the movement.

After a long stretch at a desk, you might notice that you've barely moved your torso. A brief side stretch offers a chance to change position without finding a mat or changing clothes.
Sit on a stable chair with your feet on the floor, or stand somewhere you can balance comfortably. Let your shoulders settle. Raise one or both arms only as far as feels easy; they don't need to reach overhead.
Lean gently to one side without twisting or lifting yourself off the chair. Return to the middle, then try the other side. Move slowly and keep breathing normally. Two or three comfortable rounds are enough to try.
If raising your arms feels awkward, keep one hand on the chair and make the movement smaller. Stop if you feel pain, dizziness, tingling, or other discomfort. Don't hold a painful position in the hope that it will loosen up.
Lower your arms and notice how you're sitting before returning to work. The break doesn't need to become an exercise session. It can simply be the moment you stopped keeping the same position for another hour.
