WEEK PLAN
A weekly routine that budgets energy before tasks. Map high- and low-intensity slots Mon–Fri so your calendar does not outrun your body.

This is a weekly daily-life routine you run before filling the calendar. On Monday evening for 20 minutes, write your energy budget first so wellness and output do not collide.
Weekly plans fail less from too many tasks than from ignoring the focus, emotion, and commute cost of each block. An energy budget decides where you spend force—not what every task is called.
Monday mornings already flood with meetings and inbox. Twenty evening minutes are a quieter window. Set a timer, open one page—app or paper—and keep everything on a single view.
Columns Mon–Fri, rows morning / afternoon / evening. Mark each cell H (deep focus), M (meetings, collaboration, travel), or L (admin, reading, light replies). Do not list tasks yet. Tasks fit after the budget exists.
Three high-intensity cells in one day break the budget. If Tuesday morning is deep work, keep the afternoon M or L. Place work as if Thursday collapses when recovery is skipped.
Client visits, interviews, and hard feedback talks may be one hour on the clock but closer to H in energy. If travel already spent the morning as H, do not add another H later. Wellness here is leaving empty cells—not only adding stretches.
Mark at least two evening L cells for sleep, family, movement, or nothing. Protecting those from meetings is the real win. If a meeting is already locked, move it or cut an H elsewhere.
0–3 min: circle last week’s overspent days. 5–12: place fixed events and mark intensity. 12–18: distribute at most eight H cells across the week. 18–20: lock two red L evenings and close the note. Move tasks into your app only after the timer ends.
If Wednesday already blew the budget, delete one H from Thursday and Friday. That is a revised budget, not a failed plan. Leave one line on why it broke—your weekly energy routine gets sharper each Monday.
