90 minutes before bed, take a lukewarm shower for 10 minutes. Ending the evening by lowering core body temperature and helping secrete melatonin.

This is a daily wellness routine you can use right away. Try “End the day with a warm shower” to gently reset your body’s rhythm.
Showering right before bed can actually wake you up. Hot water temporarily increases arousal, and the humidity and bright lights in the bathroom can signal arousal. Instead, use the rhythm of raising and lowering your body temperature 90 minutes before bedtime to naturally feel drowsy. The 30 to 60 minutes after a shower when your body temperature drops is the golden time for melatonin secretion.
This method is not about taking a shower because you can't sleep, but about showering to help you sleep. Timing is everything. Start by setting an alarm 90 minutes before bedtime.
Keeping the bathroom lights on brightly suppresses melatonin secretion. Simply lowering the lights to half or less before and after showering will have a greater effect. The key to this routine is not looking at your phone right after showering.
Soak in lukewarm water for just 10 minutes or shower. Checking the temperature with the inside of your wrist can help increase your core temperature without burning your skin. Rinse your hair lightly for the last 2 minutes and do not blow hot air with a dryer right away.
30 to 60 minutes after showering, body temperature drops and melatonin secretion is stimulated. So the timing is an hour and a half before bed. If you shower too early, your body temperature drop curve may end before you go to sleep.
After showering, turn the lights down to half and only lightly dry your body with a towel. It is important not to look at your smartphone at that moment. Blue light brings the body temperature drop curve back up.
If you ventilate the bathroom for just 5 minutes, the humidity in your bedroom will not increase. If your skin feels tight after showering, apply a thin layer of moisturizer. If you shower at the same time repeatedly, your body will remember that rhythm. When you put on your pajamas and enter the bedroom, your body is already in end-of-day mode.
If you wash your hair first and let it dry for a long time, your body temperature will rise again. It is better to fall asleep by showering only your body first and lightly rinsing your hair in the last 2 minutes. It is okay to use a short dryer with lukewarm air, even if your hair is not completely dry. The key is not to look at your phone after showering.
Warm water is not a wash, but a signal to let go of the day. 90 minutes before bed, try spending just 10 minutes in the bathroom with the lights down. Dry skin can wake up with itchiness, so avoid products with strong scents.
If you shower at the same time repeatedly, your body prepares itself to signal sleepiness. An alarm 90 minutes before bed is enough. Start in a bathroom with low lighting. Starting tonight.
