NIGHT
TEA
Unlike the story about choosing evening herbal tea, this is a chadahm-style wind-down: sit outside the bed and empty one cup slowly.

If you drop a tea bag and gulp it standing up, the day does not really close. There is already a story about opening the evening with herbal tea at eight. This is the next scene. Not a formal tea ceremony. A short chadahm: sit down and meet only the cup.
It is not something you do in bed right before sleep. It is finishing one cup in one seat before you enter the bedroom.
Standing tea still feels like work mode. Sitting makes it easier for hand and eye to stay with the cup. You do not need a full tea set. One caffeine-free warm cup and a place to sit are enough. It is not a sleep medicine. It is a comma between day and night.
1. About an hour before bed, sit somewhere that is not the bed (table, window seat, living-room chair). Leave the phone in another room or face down.
2. Heat water and pour a caffeine-free cup (herbal, barley tea, or decaf). Do not drink it standing. Sit, and smell it once.
3. Spend ten minutes with the cup. Small sips. No talk needed. Alone still counts as chadahm. If a to-do list rises, return once with “this cup, for now.”
4. When the cup is empty, rinse it and put it back. Then brush teeth and move toward the bedroom. Do not bring tea into bed.
Do not make evening chadahm with caffeinated green or black tea. You do not need to stack a score with the evening-herbal-tea story on the same day. Do not drink lying in bed. Keep the cup small so a midnight bathroom trip is less likely.
Before bed, ten minutes of seated tea. It is closing the day by meeting only the cup.
