Rainy-day journeys

On the move
Add a manageable walk to the end of a familiar journey when the route, weather, and your energy allow it.

You may not have room for a separate walk today, but the last part of the commute is already on the calendar. Getting off a little earlier can give it more space.
Check the route before trying it. Distances between stops vary, and the earlier stop may leave you on a road that isn't safe or pleasant to walk. Choose a well-lit path with proper crossings and a distance that suits you.
An evening with no immediate commitment can be easier than a morning when you're watching the clock. Get off at the chosen stop, put your phone away when you don't need directions, and walk at a comfortable pace.
You can notice the neighborhood, listen to something at a safe volume, or simply get home. The walk doesn't need an extra mental exercise or a record in an app.
Use your usual stop in bad weather, with heavy luggage, or when you're tired or uncomfortable. There's no need to make up the distance later. A routine works best when it leaves you able to choose the sensible route for that day.
Choose a scene and add your story. Start a diary of your own with Your Day.
