A mug, notebook, or small object in a color you love can make a familiar workspace feel more like yours.

You don't have to repaint a room to bring a little more of your taste into it. Start with one thing you see every day: a mug, a notebook, a pen cup, or a piece of fabric.
Notice the colors you're already drawn to. Perhaps it's the green on a favorite book cover or the blue of a cup you keep choosing. There's no need to find a color that supposedly matches your personality or improves your performance. Liking it is enough.
Bring something you own to the desk and give it a place where it won't get in the way. Live with it for a week. Does it still please you when you sit down, or has it become one more thing to move around?
You can change your mind, choose a smaller object, or put it elsewhere. You also don't need to replace everything around it to create a matching set.
A useful workspace can have practical tools and a small, personal detail. Sometimes one familiar color is all it takes to make an ordinary corner feel like a place you've chosen.
Choose a scene and add your story. Start a diary of your own with Your Day.
