Rainy-day journeys

On the move
If there's a safe place to pause, take the weight off your shoulders for a moment between trains.

A long station corridor can become a race to the next platform. Meanwhile, one hand grips a bag strap and your shoulders creep upward. When time and space allow, try a brief stop along the way.
Look for a designated seating area or a broad, quiet place clear of the main flow. Avoid escalators, gates, exits, platform edges, tactile paving, and anywhere you would block access. If there isn't a suitable spot, keep going and rest later.
Set your bag securely beside you, keeping it in sight and within reach. Let your arms rest and your shoulders settle. A small, comfortable shoulder movement or a few ordinary breaths is enough; you don't need a stretching sequence in a busy corridor.
After a short pause, pick the bag up carefully and continue at your usual pace. Don't leave it unattended or rush afterward to make up the time. Skip the stop if a train is arriving and you feel pressed.
If the same bag regularly feels uncomfortable, review its weight and fit rather than relying only on a break. A pause can be useful, but the journey should also be manageable while you're moving.
